'Time points' are awarded according to the adequacy of the solution with the type of innovations sought by Time for the Planet®. They correspond to the analysis of several factors :
Turn Gigatons of CO2 into rock through a natural process.
Massive and fast capture of CO2 to limit its concentration in the atmosphere
The process accelerates the natural carbon-silicate cycle using olivine, a green volcanic rock thanks to the action of waves and currents.
Companies via carbon credits. Individuals via the purchase of m2 of beaches or oceans. Also, city councils and governments will play a key role in validating permits and access.
The biggest difference is that we accelerate a natural cycle (carbon silicate), and use natural mechanical forces as well (waves and current).
Time for the Planet® relies on its community's collective intelligence, science, and agile methods to select the innovations with the greatest potential to reduce greenhouse gases.
