'Time points' are awarded according to the adequacy of the solution with the type of innovations sought by Time for the Planet®. They correspond to the analysis of several factors :
Submitted to the Scientific Committee : After the evaluations made by our volunteer assessors, innovations with the strongest impact potential are submitted to the Scientific Committee. The managing directors are responsible for the choice.
A new ecological, safe and efficient aluminium battery technology.
How to increase the autonomy of electric vehicles and allow the development of new clean modes of transport (electric boats, electric planes...)?
Lepty is developing an aluminum battery that has an energy density 7 times greater than lithium-ion technologies and allows for a tenfold increase in vehicle autonomy. The battery uses mainly aluminum which is 100% recyclable and can be produced without GHG emissions.
To anyone who uses electric vehicles. But also to companies that have a fleet of vehicles in management.
Lepty allows a better density of volumetric energy. About 5 times less cumbersome than hydrogen tanks, it is thus particularly adapted to mobility. Also, aluminium is very stable and the Lepty battery does not involve any danger of explosion/fire. It is therefore easier to store and integrate.
