THE PROBLEM Electric motors generate toque by using electricity which burn fossil fuels hence causing pollution. A hydraulic powered low solar operated systems redesign has the potential to generate torque without the traditional burning of fossil fuels and may even eventually replace the combustion engine as follows. Electric motors are a useful means of converting electrical energy into mechanical or rotational energy for the manufacturing and other industries. However, they were designed decades ago when energy supply was cheap and pollution levels were low or unknown. Energy saving and overall cost to the customer were therefore not a part of the original design of electric motors. They currently consume around 70 % of the global electric power generation and are also responsible for 40 % of the emissions into the atmosphere. Carbon emissions are rising causing high temperatures, forest fires, flooding and droughts in different areas of the world. It is therefore important to work on a new electric motor designs to reduce emissions for more sustainable industrialization. The material for their manufacture has not changed for decades. They require rare earth magnets which are in short supply and armatures for torque generation. The Torque generation is achieved by supplying an electric current to the armatures which are made of copper wires which have electrical resistance. This results in heat generation and energy losses.

THE SOLUTION. GIIRE ECO MOTORS (GEM) is a startup company based in Somalia and Saudi Arabia. We are working on hydraulic powered, low power input, aerodynamic lift and torque generation electric motor systems redesign invention. The invention is based on a UK patent pending method of a true simulation of tornadoes. The Magnus effect is based on a similar principle. The true simulation concept is best explained as follows. A car driving along a road has only a forward velocity of V kmph. But a hurricane or a tornado has a forward velocity V as well as spin velocity at W. It is difficult to combine the two velocities in one working unit. Most tornado laboratory simulations also involve only the spin velocity W. These simulations also utilize air which has a low density of l.22 kg/m3. therefore and cannot generate high torques and cannot be scaled down for practical applications. The simulations are also conducted in the open atmosphere and vortex generation is often weak and unstable. Tornadoes in nature are also large systems and uncontrollable for practical applications. Therefore it has not been possible to utilize these powerful natural concepts for practical and useful industrial applications, until now. In our invention we utilize concentric rotating cylinders to simulate the tornado or Magnus effect. The space between the cylinders contains hydraulic oil. Injection nozzles deliver hydraulic oil spray at high velocity V as well as an angular velocity W. These two velocities enable true tornado simulation for high lift force or torque generation. . In our invention we replace the air with a suitable hydraulic oil medium which has density at 700 to 800 times that of normal air to enhance lift force and hence torque generation. The high torque hydraulic oil simulation in the invention is completely sealed up to prevent oil leakages common in existing hydraulic systems. The simulation is thus INTERNAL, controllable and also directional for practical high torque generation. The vortex generation is confined hence highly stable for vortex generation to enhance performance. Our electric motor invention is real tornado simulation and has the potential to operate without magnets and copper windings to offer major advantages for electric vehicles, wind energy generation as well as other major applications for new product development. Our plan is to start our business with the product development of the electric motor invention. Aerodynamic Lift force generation is proportional to the density of the fluid in which the airfoil operates. But these hydrofoils are flat and non rotational and can only generate lift upwards. We utilize rotating cylinders for more directional 360 torque generation for more advanced product development suitable for electric motors. The high lift generation using rotating cylinders is well documented. Please check the attached document for a sample article. Existing tests on the Magnus lift generation use only air which has a low density which increases the size of the cylinders. This is suitable for lift generation for airplanes but not for the design of electric motor which require smaller cylinder. We utilize an oil spray medium with a much higher density than air to reduce component size for our electric motor redesign invention. We believe our invention provides solutions but more R&D is required

More efficient motors with much lower emissions are required for increasing industrial output and job creation for the increasing population around the world. The market for efficient motors is also increasing due to climate change and carbon emission reduction efforts. The market is USD 33.4 billion in 2020 and expected to reach USD 50.4 billion by 2027. Developing countries must also base their sustainable industrialization and development on more efficient electric motors. The market therefore requires a systems redesign of the electric motor to achieve much higher efficiencies while controlling overall costs for the customer. Natural designs have provided us with many solutions in the past. Our startup offers nature-inspired inventions and potential solutions. Heavy manufacturing is a major contributor to global carbon emissions. There is a growing global pressure on these industries to reduce their emissions for the benefit of all stakeholders. If tests of our invention are successful, we plan to partner with corporate companies to help achieve their carbon emissions reduction efforts which will also increase our customer acquisition. (Please refer to our PPT for more info.) The aerodynamic hydraulics replace the need for rare earth magnets, and armature as well as the need for large accumulators in hydraulics. The motor therefore has few moving parts and a low profile.. with a low power input to help overcome the " RANGE ANXIETY" problem affecting EV product development.

The different features of our invention are as follows : 1. We replace the magnets and armatures in electric motor with a hydraulic aerodynamic method. 2. Exiting hydraulics force generation methods are linear and hence not suitable for electric motors. We offer a rotational hydraulic method for torque generation to enable electric motor redesign. 3. We offer high efficiency aerodynamic methods for torque generation to reduce fuel consumption and reduce emissions as explained below. Existing electric motors still rely on magnets and armatures for torque generation. Larger motors require larger magnets and armatures which require high power input thus increasing fuel consumption and emissions. The copper windings in the armature have electric resistances causing much heat generation and energy losses. Hydraulic motors have advantages over electric motors. They do not require armatures or magnets for their operation and have the potential to overcome the above problems with major advantages. But hydraulic motors utilize large components like accumulators and these advantages cannot be easily incorporated into electric vehicles and other industrial motors. In our invention we utilize an aerodynamic method for lift and torque generation to help overcome this problem. Hydraulics are powerful methods of force generation. However, they are used mostly for heavy construction equipment and hydraulic presses. The method of the hydraulic force generation is also linear and and not rotational. Therefore it cannot be used for electric motors which require rotational torque generation. The efficiency of rotating cylinder for high lift force generation is well documented as shown in the sample attachment above. Here the velocity ratio V/W of the incoming oil sprays V and the spin angular velocity W of the cylinder and the aspect ration are important for vortex generation and torque generation. The V/W value has a major influence on torque in our proposed motor. Our invention therefore offers new ways of increasing efficiency and output . It also provides an alternative to the high power consumption in hard to abate industries like cement and steel but more R&D is required.
